We made another journey around the sun and it’s time to celebrate!
Join us on Saturday July 20th, for an all day party and raise a glass to 5 years!
No cover, no tickets, just show up and grab a cold one!
We’ve got big day planned and will be expanding our taproom festivities to our production area with the addition of a second bar, game room and of course live music! We welcome back to the stage local favorites DJ Press Play and the Cory Chambers Band for some day time tunes and will close the night with Illiterate Light from Shenandoah Valley, Virginia! Farm Bluffton and Big Bon Pizza will provide delicious bites and Aint-Bad Magazine will return with their famous photo booth! Portion of every pint sold benefits our seasonal charity, Warrior Surf Foundation.
About the beer: SBC5 Juicy Double IPA, Alc. 8.2% by Vol.
SBC5 is a refreshing Juicy Double IPA brewed with flaked oats, house made oat milk, and intensely dry-hopped with five hop varietals, over the course of five days. Yes… you read that right, 5 days! Amarillo, Idaho-7, Styrian Dragon, Mandarina Bavaria, and Zythos hops make for tropical notes full of pulpy citrus, sweet mango, and ripe pineapple keeping this summer sipper juicy and bright.
Illiterate Light: 8pm
Returning to our stage after a packed house during Savannah Stopover, Illiterate Light is a show not to miss! Spanning the better part of a decade, the creative evolution between Jeff Gorman and Jake Cochran is far from ordinary. The duo ran an organic farm in the Shenandoah Valley, toured the mid-Atlantic by bicycle, and lived in small communities while pursuing modes of alternative education. Their eclectic background is mirrored in Illiterate Light’s sound and lyricism, floating between postmodern confusion and vibrant, life-affirming optimism.
Formed in the summer of 2015, the band transcend expectations of typical rock music through their limitations as a duo. Gorman elevates his gritty guitar melodies and honest lyricism by stomping out thunderous synth bass with his feet as Cochran layers lush vocal harmony and explodes with body convulsing energy around his minimalist standing drum kit.
